Least we should have some players in the box when we attack and some genuine width and Gerrard bombing on through the middle (presuming it's 442).

Only reasonable alternative to Mascher would be Sami and Carra at RB but when Sami plays we have to depend deeper due to his lack of pace and lose attacking impetus as a result.

With our three first choice RBs Arbeloa, Degen and Darby injured Rafa has gone for a more attacking option (which everyone on here was begging for earlier) and now he's getting slated

Alternatively it could always be some crazy form of 3-5-2

Here is a thought - why not play Hyypia at centre back and play Carragher there? Revolutionary, it may be but at least Carragher has played there before.

That would be the sensible solution. Nobody's gonna reply to this post though

I can't imagine him saying this at all. He'd play in goal if he was asked to.

If Carr is carrying an injury the last thing he needs to be doing is running up and down the wing. He knows that and if this is the case he's asked to do this for the good of the team because he'd be a liability there. All based on my theory that he's injured though obviously.
