Yes, that was my . I might have guessed that, of all people, you would pick it up.

        It's a f*cking disgrace.

        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

If the McDonalds Corporation want to help out sick children then great but don't use it as a cynical marketing ploy and name the wing after your creepy clown.

Fair play to Sami by the way, a colossus of a person aswell as a centre half.
Get off your high horse mate.

Macca's shouldn't be held responsible for the obesity issues. Any halfwit surely knows that eating the stuff regularly will make you put on weight. Its the irresponsible parents that cant be bothered to cook for their children and resort to this type of food that are to blame.

Why can't Mcdonalds name the ward after Ronald? They pump loads of money into the places..we have one here in Adelaide actually. The amount they do not just for the kids with cancer, but also the families is amazing. Its entirely justified for them to name the house after their "creepy clown", the children love it, it make it fun...and so what if they get a bit of advertising from it. They are doing a good thing, but because their food makes idiots fat, they are the villains still.

Back on topic, Well done Sami! Great gesture, certainly far outweighs Gerrards "generous" offer of his signed shirt..or Rafa and Carra's nice words. Puts them to shame

              Fantastic fellow for sure.

Yes, not much in the scheme of things, but at least he's done it rather than talked about it.

In my opinion, I think there should be an upper limit on what anyone is expected to pay in terms of tax.

I don't know what that figure should be, but I think a time comes when you have paid more than enough to support the rest of the country.

                  Oh great.

In practice they already do so I wouldn't let your head worry too much about the poor dears.

I saw a good analogy a while back, was looking for a link but struggling to find it right now so I'll pop it down as I remember it.

4 friends meet up for dinner once a month, every month without fail.

Friend 1 is a big shot in the city. As he earns more and likes to eat at the better end of town he pays 50% of the bill so they can all afford to eat there.

Friend 2 is doing OK, he pays 35% of the bill.

Friend 3 is a minimum wage labourer, he pays 15% of the bill.

Friend 4 is out of the work at the moment and he's lucky to have good buddies so he gets a free lunch.

One day after eating the manager of the restaurant walks over to see them "Hey guys, we see you every month, you're great customer's, here, have 50% of your bill back" and leaves some cash on their table.

Friend 1: Well, I pay 50% of the bill so I think it's fair that I get 50% of that
Friend 2: Well, we're all earning less than you so I think we should split it so we get a little more.
Friend 3: No, we should split it so we're getting a LOT more. He's the big shot, what does he need with it.
Friend 4: Hell, I'm skint as, I should get almost all of it!

It sounds ridiculous in that situation, but that's basically tax. The rich pay a more but when the refunds come round they get shafted.

Any wonder they can't stand the system?

Morally I find it hard to agree with that, I'm well brought up as working class, but logically I can't find any way to disagree with it at all.
