Voronin. Not Veronin. Voronin. The Idiot

    What a ****

Andriy Voronin wants Hertha Berlin to decide on his future by the end of March after claiming he 'could not care less' about whether Liverpool are following his progress.

"There are plenty of offers from other clubs and, if it takes too long to talk with Hertha, I will be heading into talks with other clubs.

"Every player needs faith, at Hertha I feel that the players and manager are putting trust in me."

He added: "I could not care less about the idea that Liverpool know what I am doing for Hertha. I am scoring goals for Hertha, not for them.

"I really do not give a damn about the way they are thinking about me."

Surely a bit stupid seeing he is actually on loan and could come back to Pool?

He's always been a bit of a hothead - to be fair your days have got to be numbered if you're pushing 30 and getting sent out on loan.

Why can't anyone spell his name?

On the topic of the thread he has never been a great diplomat and I suspect that he has no intention of coming back to us - given that I don't suppose it makes much difference what he says. I only hope that Hertha are willing to pay a decent fee.

        Sorry Voronin,

Yeah me too, he's actually scoring for Hertha..what are the odds! I doubt they'll offer much at all though, they know we don't want him so probably just chuck a couple of quid our way.

We were wrong to send him out on loan, he would have been useful here. Don't blame him for not seeing his future at LFC, but he should probably tone down the 'billy big bollocks' stuff if he wants to make some friends.

Can't really blame him for his comments. He was treated pretty poorly by the fans here, so what do you expect him to do/say? He's not likely to want to come back here when at Hertha he is playing and scoring regularly and his team are top of the league. Most importantly he feels appreciated.
I'm not suggesting he did well here by the way, but I always felt he wasn't as bad as most people made out.

On the whole he knew that Liverpool fans had no faith in him and wanted shut of him. Then we're shocked that he doesn't care about Liverpool. There's a sizeable gap in that logic.

I hope we hold out for some more dough - I'm sure Hamburg or Stuttgart will want a striker in the summer and knowing Hamburg, they will pay some good money.

How do you think Lucas feels then - I bet he wish Voronin was back to take the heat off him!!!

Can't remember Voronin ever being booed by our fans though.

How much do you think we could realistically get for him?

If he continues scoring bucketloads of goals til the end of the season, we could possibly get £4m at best. But everyone knows we want shot of him.

He is playing for Hertha, who are top of the Bundesliga which will have raised his profile. Realistically, I'd be happy with £4-5m considering he is 30 however thats only with 'lowly' (in terms of support, profile etc) Hertha, Hamburg will lose Olic in the summer and they have some good money floating about, not sure whether Hoffenheim might be interested if they get into the Champions League next season.
