I really think he is at a point where the only way to dispel the feeling he is too much of a midget is for him to get some first team games somewhere. I'd love him to go somewhere in the championship until the end of the season and be in either a relegation fight or promotion push to see how he reacts. Somewhere like Norwich who play good football but are a bit spineless would be ideal.

Edgar Davids would be the most relevant I would think.Originally posted by red g View Postcan think of only lennon and swp as the only other succesful premier midgets,......oh and juninho."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

[in bruges] Ray: A lot of midgets tend to kill themselves. A disproportionate amount, actually. Hervé Villechaize off of Fantasy Island. I think somebody from the Time Bandits did. I suppose they must get really sad about like... being really little and that... people looking at them, laughing at them, calling them names. You know, "short arse". There's another famous midget. I miss him but I can't remember. It's not the R2D2 man; no, he's still going. I hope your midget doesn't kill himself. Your dream sequence will be ****ed.
Chlo: He doesn't like being called a midget. He prefers dwarf.
Ray: This is exactly my point! People going around calling you a midget when you want to be called a dwarf. Of course you're going to blow your head off. [/in bruges]i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Don't really think we can compare Spearing to many of them, Davids maybe but he had different qualities (Davids is more similar to Mascha)We come not to play.

Statistically speaking, six out of seven dwarves are not happy.Originally posted by PTP View Post[in bruges] Ray: A lot of midgets tend to kill themselves. A disproportionate amount, actually. he's a centre midfielder and there aren't many short centre midfielders at the top level, Masch and Davids are the only 2 I can think of off the top of my head which leads me to think that he's not got much chance, yes he looked decent last night but let's be honest, Madrid made Lucas look good

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Sammy Lee was ( and still is) a tad shorter than Spearing and he's been there done that as far as Honours go, and he played for England.Originally posted by Imy View PostIts a shame we haven't been in positions similar to that where we can blood younger players when games are wrapped up.
He's a good player but very small (i'm not much taller then him though
) and that'll be what holds him back.
I like the cut of his jib, hopefully he'll go far.
