Paid £80 for my ticket today, and I must admit when Ronaldo scored I was thinking what else I could have spent the dosh on.

Fecking stewards kept us in for 40 minutes after.

But I am going to enjoy going into work on Monday
I make no apologies, this is me

Ronaldo has never has an outstanding game against us in his career, he's just a greedy bast*rd with no character!

Liverpool performance shows how much Torres has been missedOn a day like today it's easy to admire the Reds and wonder what might have been had injury not hampered Fernando Torres's season.

Fernando Torres's suspect hamstrings are not an excuse for Liverpool squandering the initiative in the title race. They are, as Rafael Benítez is so fond of stating, a fact. And Anfield would harbour more than an outside chance of becoming home to the Premier League title had they remained intact this season.

The Spain international was outstanding at Old Trafford this afternoon as Liverpool embarrassed Manchester United to breathe, if not new life, then some uncertainty into the race for the league championship. It was a performance that inspired Liverpool to a memorable league double over Sir Alex Ferguson's side, who are chasing an 18th league title, and strengthened Rafael Benitez's claim that top spot would not have been lost so easily had Torres been at his disposal all term. Benítez's argument also exposed the errors made in the transfer market by Liverpool last summer and the resulting lack of strength in his squad. On days like today, however, such flaws can be easily overlooked by the Liverpool support.

Torres has missed 13 of Liverpool's 29 league games this season through repeated hamstring injuries, mostly suffered on international duty, and the absence of a striker who delivered 24 Premier League goals on his debut campaign in English football has been profound on a team without an adequate replacement. Here, as in the outstanding performance against Real Madrid on Tuesday, was an emphatic illustration of what Liverpool have missed.

Nemanja Vidic was nominated as a worthy winner of the Player of the Year award by Sir Alex Ferguson recently but that choice appeared based entirely on bias on this dreadful performance. The commanding, intelligent centre-half was reduced to a hesitant, unconvincing shadow of his usual self by Torres's strength, movement and skill, with the malaise spreading throughout the United defence long before the Spaniard seized on the Serbian's mistake and equalised Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty. Vidic's second red card against Liverpool this season was almost an act of clemency.

United's lead flattered a careless display from the champions, for whom only Carlos Tevez, Park Ji-sung, Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick began with the endeavour this critical fixture required, whereas Torres epitomised Liverpool's tenacity and cutting edge from the start. An early dive into Rio Ferdinand's outstretched leg showed the unfortunate side of the Spain international, but he was at his supreme best in anticipating Vidic allowing Martin Skrtel's long ball to bounce, out-muscling the last man and slotting a measured finish inside Edwin van der Sar's far corner. The game was back on and so, perhaps, is the title race.

Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Rafa really is building something special here and even though he drives me crazy and i have asked for him to be sacked in the past this result and the one on tuesday has proved to me that we have the right man in charge!

I have never seen us beat the mancs like that never mind in their own back yard! We were fantastic in every position. We really Showed today what the mancs are all about in being overrated. I said the other day if they come up against a team with a good strike force they will be stuffed which was the case today. Everyone earned their wages today!

I have not said this in a LONG LONG time but

                          Yeah that's correct.

Although it would be interesting to see how many goals have come against the bigger sides

I'm just wondering what difference there could have been, if we'd had both Gerrard and Torres on the pitch more, the stat that they're only started together 9 times in 29 premiership games is the main reason we struggled
