reina wouldnt be there if they did it after a goal i doubt, i know he loves to run forward but during the match it showed a replay of him turning round and celebrating, not running forward

After claiming “the best side lost” in the weekend’s Premier League thriller at Old Trafford in which Liverpool thrashed Manchester Utd 4-1, United boss Alex Ferguson has been making more laughable remarks.

United fans japed at Benitez in the build-up to Saturday’s game, claiming he was “cracking up” after his January rant at Ferguson in which he listed many things wrong with the United boss’ complaining and subsequent lenient treatment by the Football Association.

But now it would seem that old whiskey doing himself no favours and really being tortured by Benitez’s mind games. Shortly after watching his side utterly humiliated at the hands of Liverpool, Ferguson claimed his team were the better side. The scoreline said otherwise.

The Times newspaper reports this morning that Ferguson refused to speak to Sky Sports after the game, annoyed that television coverage of the game had scheduled it for a 12:45pm kick-off on Saturday lunchtime, giving United just 2½ days to prepare following their midweek Champions League clash with Inter Milan.

However, BSkyB were quick to point out that the scheduling of the match was agreed by both Manchester United and Liverpool, as well as the Premier League and the police.

And here’s a perfect sign of Manchester United propaganda. From this morning’s The Times:

Oddly, Ferguson does not appear to have used this as an excuse for his team’s abject performance. In an interview with MUTV, the club’s television station, he said that his team “kept driving on and showed good energy, even though we only had 2½ days to prepare for the match”.

Followed by:

Ferguson seemed unsure that it was such a bad performance, even making the startling claim in his MUTV interview that United had been “the better team”. Even United’s official website seemed to balk at that, leaving the comment out of the manager’s postmatch comments.

Ferguson’s latest rant just goes to prove how clever Benitez was in January. These are Benitez’s comments two months ago on Ferguson’s moaning of early fixtures.

Then he was talking about the fixtures. Two years ago we were playing a lot of early kick-offs away on Saturdays when United were playing on Sundays. And we didn’t say anything. Now he is complaining about everything, that everybody is against United. But the second half of the season will see them playing at home against all the teams at the top of the table. It is a fantastic advantage.

Looks like Ferguson is indeed the one who’s “cracking up”, whilst Rafa cracks up laughing.

Lets hope he cracks soon!

I'd ****ing love us to go on and nick the title (obviously) but even more so after the media's bull**** about Rafa's 'rant' (which was nothing of the sort) and the idea that he had 'cracked up'.

If we somehow won it, Rafa would suddenly look very clever indeed and the media wouldnt be able to hide that.
