i think the ship has sailed palOriginally posted by little dave hedgehog View Posti was sad when he went and i miss him tbh. we could use an unorthodox threat in games where we just can't break through. he's proven at this level. be honest. cl final, and we're trailing with 20 minutes to go. would you rather bring on luis or n'gog?

Don't know what his form's like over there so hard to say but it was him who wanted to go back to Spain for his family anyway so I think he's where he wants to be now. Always be a red though."My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.

He left for a reason. Has that reason changed? Doubt it. His family were not settled so I expect him to remain in Spain.
Not to mention how infuriating he was when he played. You could say he's the complete opposite of a player like Dirk Kuyt (I don't mean effort wise) but what Liverpool really need to get to that next level is someone who has the characteristics of both. Not one or the other.
He was fantastic for us at times and is a big factor of why we won the CL in 2005. But we have moved on and I'm not sure he would bring what we need to the team.Forwards.......

Depends on how much money we get and who is available.Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postwho would you bring in then?
My first bit of business would be the signing of Michael Owen. I think he'd settle for a smaller role to get the chance to be competing for top honours again. His goal scoring ability is still clear to see and he has a great relationship with some of the members of our squad.
His connection with Gerrard was on a par with the telepathy shared between Gerrard and Torres and if an injury came about for Fernando he would be a suitable replacement.
Did I mention he was available on a free? What's not to like?Forwards.......

i think he ticks a lot of boxes though. family and money issues aside, assuming he came back he'd probably recognize his place on the bench and come on as needed. he's sort of a specialist. not always needed, but could be handy. our bech lacks flair despite n'gogs antics against real. if he keeps doing that, i'll gladly eat my words.
also nobody has named another player who would be happy to be a substitute and provide that extra bit of the unexpected when we look out of ideas.dave of mutilation
