Long term contract and long term planning.

But I'm just as excited about the partnership with Almeria. What could mean for our Reserves is fantastic news. Players such as Pacheco, Bruna and El Zhar are good little players who I reckon could do with some regular football. I'd include the local lads as well.

Man Utd have been doing it for years with Royal Antwerp and this is the first decent venture we've done in a while. Also potentially frees up space and allows us to play a more balanced squad in the reserve league.

Not to mention we can sign others like Pacheco and let them adjust and grow at Almeria before letting them get booted in England.
could possibly see our best youth who aren't getting chances, like plessis, possibly nemeth and pacheco going over, which is great but i'd be interested to see how rafa uses this NEW player wise.

as we all know spain has special exceptions for african players, and also is more lenient with s.americans.
with rafa's love of brazilian and argentinian players, i'd be happy to see the next lucas, insua, or dare i say it gonzalez go over there like arsenal do, before they get a work permit. then we can sell at a profit after the loan or fingers crossed welcome them to the fold.

this could make it a lot easier to go after these targets, as arsenal have been doing this for ages and getting the rewards, not to mention our link up with ashanti gold now being easier to utilise. i remember two top prospects slipping through our fingers to go to the madrid clubs, which we can now hopefully prevent

        Great news.

Rafa would not have signed IMO if his working conditions were going to be the same as the past 5 years, i.e. he must have been given assurances over transfer funds as well as now being in control of who he buys and sells.

This is a very positive sign and over the next few years I really look forward to seeing Rafa's Liverpool finally take serious shape and start dominating again. The winning mentality it seems is coming back at last!!!

            So have i this morning!

I must admit I did think Rafa was going to do a Valencia on us and not sign this contract. And if he hadn’t I couldn’t have got mad with him due to the uncertainty at the club with the finance of the club.

Let’s hope there is some more good news around the corner whether it be new owners or not but stability in the shape of funds and new stadium.

If we could announce some concrete (pun absolutely intended) stadium plans soon then that would just be the icing on the cake

I don't think that will happen until the ownership changes hands, so fingers crossed this Summer. Happy days....

It may have been intended but that really doesn't make it OK.

Good news about the manager though.
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Ah, now we both know that's not true.

If it were true then I would just listen to Neil Young records all day and ban Fredo.

                            I don't see the problem.

                                Very happy indeed.

Was watching Sky Sports news last night and didn't see this coming.

Rafa should no his summer budget as well and be happy with it so it makes for an interesting summer.
