    Rafa:

"The team was doing well but it's true I am not totally happy because we could have scored more goals from the counter attack," said Benitez, who wanted the Reds to push on after the dismissal of Brad Friedel at 4-0.

"We were playing against 10 players and had three or four more chances. It's really important to take them because you never know what's going to happen with the goal difference.

"Today it wasn't key but in other games it has been. I wanted more goals. It's an area we need to improve.

"Don't get me wrong, I am really pleased and happy. The players did a fantastic job but you can always improve."

Ridiculous. He has probably had 2 standout poor games all season. played really well against top teams and gets a mountain of criticisim. How old is the lad?

How strange it must be for him to come to a foreign country at such a young age and be chucked in at the deep end like he has? Being an understudy to Xabi frickin alonso is no easy task. I think he has performed this role admirably.

By the way, let's hope Friedle succeeds in any appeal against his sending off suspension. Could do with him playing against the Mancs.

      What a glorious day!!!

I think that Martin O'Neill proved today that he is tactically inept.

Everyone knows that to play against Liverpool at Anfield means organisation, discipline, hard work and packing the midfield and defence. His team were an unorganised shambles and got what they deserved.
        Oh I don't know.

At this moment in time yes but hopefully he will appeal and get it overturned.

Just heard that Manure have now lost Berbatoss for 2 weeks!
Of course - just enough time to miss the internationals but be back for the Villa game at Old Toilet in 2 weekends' time...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

And to concede a goal by a long ball over the top that you let bounce shows he didn't see us do it twice to Manchester United.

We should have scored more goals and Torres didn't score.

United still have a game in hand.

I think after todays game even if we drew or lost they would have a game in hand.
