What utter garbage.
I honestly believe Mourinho is a witch of some description casting a spell on the weak minded making them believe he is some kind of footballing God. Granted he's a good manager with a decent record but his major achievements have been bankrolled BIG time. In fact the only remarkable success he's had is winning the CL with Porto....much the same as Rafa did with us in 05.
Since when did we need another 6 or 7 players to win the league anyway Mr Collymore?

Interestingly enough Collymore is usually very supportive of us when doing commentary and punditry. He is usually fairly articulate and makes fairly interesting and incisive comments too (for an ex pro) but that article LMFAO!

Poor form from Stan. He should stick to dogging and leave the writing to the pros (although you won't find many of them working at The Mirror so it's maybe not that bad a column after all).A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Just last week...
Liverpool's stunning 4-1 win at Old Trafford should give Rafa Benitez and his team the inspiration to end their wait for a first Premier League crown - but not this season.
The Anfield club have left it far too late to stop the title from returning to their archrivals Manchester United this season.
But I hope Liverpool's emphatic win at the home of their bitter foes will give boss Benitez the confidence to make the Premier League his top priority next term.
It looks increasingly likely that Benitez, in charge since June 2004, will be staying at Liverpool long-term now he has won his power struggle with chief executive Rick Parry.
And, despite standing by my assertion that the Reds should appoint Jose Mourinho this summer, the events of the last week suggest Benitez is making major progress towards a maiden top-flight title.
I saw Benitez produce one of the best footballing sides of the last 20 years at Valencia, where he had players like Pablo Aimar. The football the Spanish outfit played on the deck was fantastic - and successful.
Only now, following a 4-0 win over Real Madrid and their triumph at United, are Liverpool starting to hit similar heights.
Benitez seems finally to have woken up to the fact that the Premier League is about winning football matches rather than not losing them.
So can Rafa win it or not???
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Fair enough he won the Champions League, but has he ever won a major league title without a bottomless pit. Even at Inter he took over the current champions.
I would only rate him if he took over Valencia, Everton or Lazio and won their respective league's.

I dont get this presumption everyone has in the media. Do they really believe Rafa tries not to win the PL?Originally posted by RedReet View Post

Fair enough in the past we have prioritised the CL once the league has gone but this was a necessity to ensure high earnings enabling us to compete in the transfer market and getting us a Torres.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

A bit extreme, no? Fair enough mightn’t necessarily be the miracle worker some make him out to be, but success follows him everywhere he goes. OK, they mightn’t have been the toughest challenges, but what have Chelsea won since he left?Originally posted by magicalbarnes View PostI agree, Jose is the most overated manager in world football.
