There's no doubting he attracts big names and players but he did so with a ****load of money behind him, and frankly, only Essien is someone I'd want at LFC. The rest are ****houses

I would suggest that none of the players came because of Mourinho, other than maybe the ex Porto players.

They came for the money and because Chelsea were at that time talking of a big grand project and looked set to be winning the title and European Cup for the forseeable future. Probably also helps that Chelsea is based in the trendy West end area of London which all them foreigners seem to like.

Proves a point though - he went for the money and didn't care who was manager. Also he was a target identified by Ranieri. I think Mourinho's transfer record given his huge budgets is pretty average. Has he identified any 'potential superstars' at Inter - no.

I remember that Robben went to Old Trafford, met the purple nose and had a tour around the place and the training ground. It was set up that he'd go to United but Chelsea nipped in and pinched him with a huge contract.

See, Collymore is thick as **** but I don't really have a problem with him to be honest. I know some of his articles - especially about Rafa - are just terrible, but I still have no beef with the boy.
