    I like a front pair.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

He's probably the best player in every position, even goalie. Most underrated player in history, IMO.

He plays 'between the lines', no?

I just think he's the best footballer in the world.Infact,I will go as far as saying the very best I have ever seen.

id class him as an attacking mid, though he'll be **** there for england and everyone will say why doesn't he produce his club form for england, basically because fernando torres is spanish!

He's englands most naturally gifted attacker yet they refuse to base the attack around him and would rather accomadate rooney!
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

Independently on if he wins a league title or not, for me he's our greatest player of all time. Kenny came into a stable team, one which was dominating the english game. He only had to showcase his talents.

Rooney was at his best for England in Euro 2004 when he played as an out and out striker. Put Rooney up top and Gerrard just behind and ngland have the start of something special. Gerrard and Rooney are good pals so I would expect both to click instantly.

                        ------------------Green--------------------
                        Richards---Terry-----Ferdinand------Cole
                        --------------Barry------Lampard------------
                        Walcott---------Gerrard-----------Young----
                        ---------------------Rooney-----------------

That line up, considering all were fit and on form would be excellent by the time the world cup comes along. Pace on the flanks, great dribblers and a very good goal threat from all areas on the pitch.

For now I'd have Brown at RB, Baines at LB (deserves chance) Downing LW and Lennon at RW. Then theres players like Joe Cole to come back and Michael Owen who could yet have a great season next year. Plus Becks for set pieces if nothing is going right. Possily Ben Foster could sneak in if he is Mancs Number 1 next year.
                        Forwards.......

I just think you're missing the point and evaluating him as a player wrongly that is all.
