    LFCs most prolific striker.....

....is currently Andriy Voronin, apparently! According to the skysports website he has banged in 11 goals from 20 starts this season

German football must be weaker than we've been led to believe..

And Voronin is better than most people here believe. A combination of the two.

He was never as bad as some here made out.

The Ponytail alone is surely worth five goals a season.

Voronin is an international striker and he isnt great, but he's still established and capable of doing a job. He lacks mobility and pace, but if a chance falls to him in the box, he's well capable of tucking it away.

He's also quite a confidence player and being a reserve was never going to get his confidence up. At Berlin, he's in the team and his confidence is obviously sky high.

Should never have let him go, we'd be top of the league by 8 points if we still had him.

                He's not doing that well.

he's played in 21 league games this season (20 starts 1 sub) from a possible 25 games. He has 11 goals, EIGHT of which have been in the past 5 games:-

1 against Arminia Bielefeld who are 15th in the league
2 against Bayern Munich - probabaly his best game all season
1 against Borussia Mönchengladbach who are 16th in the league
3 against Energie Cottbus who are 17th in the league
1 against Bayer Leverkusen who are 7th

before this run of good form he hadn't scored since November, he only had 3 goals in 16 games before febuary!!

So basically he's put 5 past 3 of the worst teams in the Bundesliga and scored 3 against two decent teams (Munich and Leverkusen) and suddenly he's one of the best strikers around...interesting!

Oh, and he scored zero in 5 UEFA cup games.

                  Really??

What about Steven Gerrard 38 Apps 21 Goals?

                  Torres has 11 goals also.

Both of them have played much better opposition overall.

He's a confidence player and more than capable of doing a job in any league if a regular starter. As UKfootball suggested he's not a star and will not rip up trees with his performances.

But he is better than what was made out and like or not he did no worse than Keane and was more of a threat than N'Gog has been.

Yep and his goals have helped put Hertha at the top of Bundeliga, much to gf's delight.

                        Gerrard's not a striker though. He's a midforward.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
