    Bill Shankly

    actually matt busby.

if matt busby had accepted the assistant managers job at liverpool,
bill shankly would not have come to manage us?

bob paisley would be still around
and would have possibly still taken on the job later at some point?

did bill shankly call matt busby the greatest football manager ever?.

did bill shankly want jack charlton to replace him?

if it had started with matt busby
do you think we would have been even more successful than we have been?

      Who knows.

But it would have been hard for Busby to do a better job than Shankly did, as he was exactly what LFC needed at the time. He was brash, out spoken and got the people of Liverpool behind him and created the winning mentality still seen around today.

He was also the one who changed the colour of our shorts from white to red. Mind it's always nice to tell the Mancs that the founding father of their success learnt his ttrade whilst playing at Liverpool.

      Forwards.......

Maybe, but Busby did a lell of a lot for United, arguably creating two of the greatest teams ever.

Has anyone ever heard what the great one has said about Busby? Here's a link to his comments on youtube. This is pretty high praise!

"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

I think there are very good reasons to assume that he would not still be around..

LOL it is always good to remind those ****ers that Busby was a red before he managed those ****ers and had the lfc job been offered to him he would have taken it above united.
