I like internationals. I think they do need to be rescheduled though. The disruption to the season so early is bloody annoying.

I think that in terms of players injuries the only thing that can be done is for FIFA to take out some sort of insurance for all players involved in internationals to pay compensation to clubs. Also I think they should have rules to prevent countries playing a player if he has a knock, possibly being compensated by them being allowed to call up replacements.

Definately they need to sort it out, it isn't really fair on the clubs and can't be that ideal for the national teams either.

Dirk Kuyt's injury is not as bad as first thought. An ankle assessment revealed today that the Liverpool striker pulled his ankle ligaments. At first it was excpected that his ankle ligaments were torn.

This news comes as a massive boost for Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, who slammed the Dutch football association today for not releasing Kuyt from international duty.

It's still unknown for how long Kuyt will be out.

Just reading the Echo, seems to think Kuyt will be out for about a fortnight, which means it'll be touch and go for the Man U match. He's meant to have really good recovery times tho, so I'll reckon he'll back for that.
