to be perfectly honest though, i think that if rafa is confident that darby can make the step up to the first team on a regular basis, then there wouldn't be any need to sign anyone new..... i mean, lets be honest here, if agger and skrtel can stay fit, then we have 3 top class centre backs when you also include carra. On top of this, if one of these 3 are injured, then hyypia is more than able to sit on the bench....

Also, if arbeloa happens to be unavailable, then we can use carra on the right with skrtel and agger in the centre....failing that, we can use darby on the right as well if there was an emergency!!!

Wouldnt it be great to see in 4 or 5 years time a defense of:

.............................REINA................ ................

DARBY.......SKTREL..............AGGER............. INSUA

with carra on the bench in the current sami role!!!

Sign Glen Johnson for RB and we are sorted.

We're 2 homegrown players down on the champions league quota I believe so it will be interesting to see which players that meet this criteria we'll be looking at, I can only really think of Barry and Johnson that we've been strongly linked with this season

Would be ideal but I think yoo expensive, plus he seems happy at WHL and recnt extension. Think I've answered my own question there!
