    Paul Anderson

For those of you who can't remember him, he's the winger that we signed as a 16 year old who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest. My in-laws have got season tickets at Forest, and have told me that there was no minute's silence today for Hillsborough, but that Paul Anderson had taken it upon himself to wear a black armband as a mark of respect, and was the only one on the pitch who had done so.

I thought that was worth reporting and speaks volumes for his character. He's apparently been one of Forest's best players since he recovered from injury, and I hope he goes on to play well for us in the future. Well done lad!

Funnily enough I was going to ask how he was doing when I came on.

      Fair play.

        Forest should know better!
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Poor show from Forest really but sod them.

Fair play to Anderson, pleased to hear that he's back playing after the last time I heard his name mentioned it was about him breaking his leg.

Does anyone know why Forest didn't hold a minutes silence? As the opposition on that day it could easily have been them struck by tragedy.

                      Good on Anderson though

                          nice touch that.

Like Bosnich in 99... hard to hate him even in his Utd days after that.

in Arpil '99 he had a whip-round on the Villa coach to lay a bouquette at the kop when we played them at home.

not a big thing, but again a nice little touch that he didnt need to do.

went onto become a manc, allegedly a beakhead, allegedly handy with his fists in female company, etc etc but i will forgive him all of that because he took the time to show a bit of respect.
