I have researched this in depth. At various points our team has been as strong if not stronger than that of 1990, our managers have been "in form", our support has been bang on the money, we have had everything in place... but it has not come.
I am sick of finishing a season hearing someone say that we're one left back away from winning the league (that was Staunton wasn't it?), one winger, one striker, etc etc
The nets are the missing piece of the jig saw. Bring them back.
Its that or we revert back to short shorts. You laugh but we haven't won a league since we went all 1920s with our cool long shorts in 1991.
And I miss sights like Beardo showing a bit of bollock.
Tell you what, if we brought them back for Tuesday, there might be a certain Chelsea full-back distracted for 90 mins...Comment
