    half scarves

sure this has been done before, but if it hasn't...

what in God's name are people doing with half-Libpool half-Chelsea scarves?

I hate the very thought of it... fine with any European team... even Jock ones.

But with English clubs, it is totally unacceptable.

Thank Christ we haven't played Utd yet... the idea of half and half with them would make me physically sick. Their red and OUR RED on one scarf... YUK.

Is this the "CARNIVAL OF FOOTBALL" type of **** the way we are going? Will we have to drink with them next, rugby league style.

Sorry this is a real pet hate of mine that has just reared its ugly head.

    Got to agree.

I know some people collect them as a momento for each game they go to. Fair enough - but the Chelsea one should have been stuffed in the coat pocket until they got home and put in the drawer with the others. It certainly should not have seen the light of day during YNWA.

It made it look as if we were pleased to be playing them! (like a lower league team in the FA Cup)

do whoppers attending their first ever game, Liverpool or Chelsea, think that by wearing one of those scarves they can avoid a whack from an evil football hooligan?!

Probably more likely to get a slap off me personally... got those scarves are cringe-worthy.

      Worse than Anfield Arnie...

Those scarfs are just about ok if the opposition is not from England, but we should never ever have them when we play anyone from this country in the CL. Embarrassing to see a Chav scarf on the Kop.

It's Easter, I am feeling charitable...

I would not begrudge anyone buying a Liverpool and Everton scarf if we played them in the Champions League. You know MERSEYSIDE MERSEYSIDE MERSEYSIDE and all that.

But that would involve them getting in the Champions League... HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

I might consider buying half Liverpool half Villa.

Will never happen. You can always knit one though.

I don't have an issue with people buying the 50/50 scarves. Just a memento for the day out. But my pet hate is when people can't even hold their scarf the right way up during YNWA. WTF is that all about???

Hahaha, so true. My brother even asked me if it was deliberate, as a protest or something.

I don't doubt there's a market for these half and half scarves... like there's a market for people who buy plates with pictures of dogs on them from sunday magazines... you just wonder WHO in god's name could walk into Anfield feeling anything less than a complete stain in one!

good luck to the club in being a bit more savvy and finding tat that some of us will pay over the odds for, but jesus, would you want to go for a pint with someone like that?
