It being in our hands doesnt make a 0-3 win any more likely or easier.

If this was a final, then i'd risk it but we still have 6 crucial league games and even if we overturn the defecit, it's not like there'll be a trophy dropping into our hands. There's still the small matter of Barcelona and a potential final.

Winning the PL is a more realistic prospect than winning the CL right now.

I dont see it as giving up, i see it as seeing the bigger picture. And also believing that if we can overturn the defecit, we can do it with or without a slightly unfit Gerrard.
