Interesting team from Rafa.

I think it's wise to rest Gerrard if he's not fully fit, he hasnt been fully fit for a few weeks and the extra rest he'll get before the Arsenal game might just get him back to 100% which he'll need to be if we 're to win the league. Rafa could have really ****ed up if he'd played, made no difference to the result, and been out for the Arsenal game potentially derailing our league challenge as well.

Mascher will make a big difference tonight and i think Rafa is clearly aiming to dominate possession in midfield and i doubt we'll concede as many chances as we did last week but will we create many more? I'm not too sure.

We've got nothing to lose so we may as well go for it.

Think Agger's on the bench for fitness reasons really. Skrtel is there to provide a proper big physical presence at the back.

Shame Stevie ain't made it, he'll be gutted at that. As has been said before, we've come back from worse in 45 mins! Bring it on. This one for the 96! (If not lets win the title for them instead!)

Surely that's just to deal with Dogbreath, however, Agger should start every PL game from now on. I'd be absolutely mortified if we lost him in the summer.

Mind you it was Carra who was given a going over last week more than Skrtel although they were both pretty woeful.

Its Carraghers main weakness, brute strength, Drogba kills him time and time again, and he knows it.

If we can somehow match up Skrtel with Drogba we might stand a chance. But Drogba is naturally going to stay close to Carragher instead.

Its one of the key match ups thats going to decide our fate tonight and Carragher needs to win it.

I think Rafa has picked a team for the 1st half here trying to go in 1-0 ahead and keeping it tight. If we can manage that then who knows Chelsea could get the jitters a bit and maybe bring on Babel/Riera or both and really go for it 2nd half.

We must start the 2nd half with a chance of winning the tie and to achieve that maybe a narrow half-time lead is the best we can hope for.

We need three goals and we have three CMs in the team? Lucas is no replacement for Stevie. Surely Babel should have been in behind Nando. Can't understand that selection at all. Lucas for Masch maybe, but for Gerrard? Seriously can't see what he sees in Lucas.
