What a fantastic club we are. I was so proud the way we kept fighting to the end. Even in the ridiculously short 3 minutes we were going at it, right to the end.

They make me believe and they make me proud. All of them, even Lucas, infact especially Lucas. The kid doesn't hide and deserves a bit more support IMO.

Drogba needs a bullet. He looks like he's got one every 2 minutes the dozy ******. How can such a good player, standing what 6'5"? built like brick **** house go down like a ****ing pansy in the wind so often. As good as he is I would travel from Australia to march against his signing if it was ever mooted.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Not been that gutted with a result in a long time!

I didn't expect us to go through, moreso when I saw the teamsheet and in particular the total absence of Gerrard

But we started brightly, and pushed them all the way to half time which, IMO, came at the perfect point for them; gave them a break from our pressure and they seemed to come back at us in the 2nd half

The problem with having to score 3 goals to go through is that our entire strategy had to change. We HAD to open up and attack to stand any chance. The players & formation chosen might not have necessarily reflected that, but I thought there was a definite leaning towards that style of play

Course doing so enables the other team to get a look in, and no matter how much I hate the horrible cheating stains, they're a good team and they punished us

All criticisms, some valid and some not, seem to have been levelled already so I'll just echo the sentiments of others in saying I was really proud to be a Liverpool supporter last night

        Bring on the league
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

I want utd to get through tonite as I want them to playing as many games as possible under pressure as all that pressure will be bound to crack a leg or two & the injuries will pile up on them!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

The difference between us and them turned out to be that cheating cunt Drogba.

It was his foul on Skrtel, a push in the back, which led to Skrtel heading it out for a throw which led to their fourth goal.

He is a really good player (when he can be arsed) but i hate his ****ing guts.

He was timewasting like **** last night (even after 8 mins when he rolled back on the pitch to get the game stopped) and diving all over the shop. Why there wasnt at least 6 minutes of injury time i dont know.

Immensely proud of the lads but feeling a little sour because that cheating cunt prevailed.

Ultimately the tie was lost in the first leg. If we were told 2 weeks ago we'd score FOUR at Stamford Bridge and wouldn't go through, I don't think one of us would believe it. Incredibly proud of the team last night - there was nothing to lose, even at half time. For me, the match turned on Reina's mistake for the first goal. They were ****ting themselves up until that point, and for about 10-15 minutes after that goal it was if we were at Anfield a week ago, the confidence Chelsea had again.
Credit to the whole team and staff - most peoples' confidence would have disappeared upon the team selection being announced, but every player did themselves and the club proud. There were mistakes across the board, but there was always going to be what with us chasing three goals.

Credit to Chelsea, they deserved it over the two legs. However, a side note for Drogba. I don't think I've ever seen such a WORLD CLASS (cos that's what he is) player, behave in the manner that he does. He doesn't need to - he shredded our defence (one of the best in Europe) over two matches. Cheating, arrogant, poor attitude. I'm refraining from using the more obvious. So disappointed that a player of that calibre chooses to behave in that way. He'll never be remembered as people simply have no respect for him.

I think the foul was on Lucas, but yeah, clear push. They score from it.

Another one, when our player was fouled, the ball broke to Alonso on the edge of his box - where we didnt really want to be getting on with the game. The ref played a stupid advantage where there was none - we lose the ball and they score.

The freekick for the Alex goal wasnt a foul either.

The Alex free kick was a sandwich between Mascha & Skrtel wasn't it with Mascha shoving him over I thought.

All correct about Drogba though, how a man his size can fall over so easily god only knows.

I remember thinking at the time, it wasnt a foul.

Maybe i was caught up in the heat of the moment and all that, and yeah, i was right at the other end of the ground

But i stand by it, not a foul.

Can't find it on the net, but found this. Don't want to fuel the Lucas is **** debate but had he stood still it would've hit him...

Yep, he'd have blocked the shot - and been out injured for about 5 years.

Oh, so it's ok to wish it on one of our players

not 'wishing' it by any means. But if it happens, it happens. Anything to stop a goal going in, eh?
