reports tonight say that labour minister andy burnam will push for a full evidence disclosure of the hillsborough tragedy and a full enquiry, please do it please. after a torturous night of watching documentary after documentary many i have seen before, the anger inside me is leaning on the side of revenge,ok im pissed and my feelings cant even come near to what the bereaved families are feeling but i take my two daughters to the game whenever i can and when i parallel it with trevor hicks it fills me with so much anger and grief, i never got a ticket for that game and acted like a spoilt brat to my family, sorry everyone im drunk and upset and will regret this in the morning, again my apoligies

andy- "why yes great man yes yes yes!"
gordon- "okay hen, you're going to make apologies for me- coz i want to ring my mate Bollock in washington... and then all you'll just stay some standard stuff about feelings families' pain and how bad hillsborough was, get a huge cheer, and that should buy us another couple of merseyside seats next june"
andy- "but wont a stadium full of people attending a memorial service for the dead, and support greiving families see through this spin?"
gordon- "****ing hell andy, i know the president of america, he said he liked my tie... trust me!"
andy- "can i not just announce an enquiry, or give them something tangible that might help?"

andy- "thank you so much gordon, you wont regreat this"
EXCUSE THE MILDLY COMIC TONE OF THIS REPLY... BUT I WAS THERE TODAY AND FELT TRULY SICKENED AT GRIEF BEING POLITICISED, SPUN AND HIJACKED BY A GOVERNMENT THAT IS OUT OF ITS DEPTH AND RESORTING TO THE LOWEST FORM OF PR.
I DON'T BLAME BURNHAM AS SUCH, HE WAS NAIVE, A BIT STUPID, POSSIBLY A BIT VAIN... AND SET UP LIKE A CUNT.Last edited by liverpoolrat; 16-04-09, 01:09 AM.

iwent to the memorial on tuesday as i could under no circumstances get wednesday off work. cant imagine how it must of been inside anfield
on hearing the justice for the 96 chants i was thinking, right f***ing on
i educated so many people about this clubs - this sports - darkest hour yesterday that i felt proud. i also pointed out to people who thought it was odd to heckle burnham that his government has had 12 years to launch the enquiry that is needed to get to the truth and has failed so **** them.
also on another point that i had to raise many times yesterday to ignorant people, many not mancs tbf:
yes it's a liverpool thing not an english one, but then again i don't consider myself that close to england. no we dont give a f*** about your media reporting this - it was for us and us alone

He was very evasive on the issue of a public inquiry in his interview on Channel 4 News yesterday so I wouldn't hold out much hope..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Agreed, Jon Snow tried to pin him down but he did the usual New Labour dance around the straight forward questioning.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostHe was very evasive on the issue of a public inquiry in his interview on Channel 4 News yesterday so I wouldn't hold out much hope.
You know what's funny, my job sent some of us to a workshop for senior managers about 5 years with management consultants who have worked with some of these MPs and I can see why these guys are like robotics clones in public.

You would hope that he would be putting pressure on behind the scenes though. The problem we've got is that ****** Jack Straw seems to get most of the big decisions relating to us. He screwed us with the sham of a Stuart-Smith review, and he's screwing Michael Shield's family at the moment. I wouldn't hold out any hope at all of him ordering an inquiry.Originally posted by kemm1 View PostAgreed, Jon Snow tried to pin him down but he did the usual New Labour dance around the straight forward questioning.
