maybe not the right place but i remember a story being posted in an article about ronaldo's antics during some element of utd's munich commemorations - something about opening a door and tapping his watch at rooney who was at a table where some ex-utd player was giving a talk or a press conference...

Charles Itandje has today apologised for his behaviour during the Hillsborough service - as Liverpool Football Club announced he has been suspended for 14 days.
On the instructions of team manager Rafa Benitez, the French goalkeeper was told not to attend training yesterday as the club conducts an investigation into his actions during Wednesday's memorial service at Anfield.
"Charles Itandje has now been officially suspended for 14 days by the club while we investigate his conduct during the Hillsborough Memorial Service," confirmed a spokesman.
Itandje has today issued a full and unreserved apology for his behaviour during the service, and pledged to meet with the Hillsborough families to apologise in person.
"First of all, if my behaviour has caused offence to anyone then I can only apologise," he told the Liverpool Echo.
"I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry. A thousand times, I am sorry.
"To the club, to the fans and especially to the families, I am deeply sorry.
"It was, of course, never my intention to offend or disrespect anyone.
"The events at Hillsborough were a tragedy and in no way did I mean to disrespect the memory of what happened 20 years ago. I would never do that. I would like to speak to the families in person to offer my apologies to them because, like I said, I never meant to hurt anyone."Last edited by Craig_H; 18-04-09, 11:11 AM.

same hereOriginally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostApology accepted by me at least. He ****ed up big time and should probably pay by being booted out, but he hasn't killed anyone.I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. I don't think he'd have played for the club again anyway!Originally posted by red g View Postyep dont think he will play for the club again, what an idiot ......
I've only seen a 2 second clip of his "crime". Was that all it was or was there more monkeying around? was it during a minutes silence? I have a feeling that this is being blown out of proportion....

Im assuming you either werent personally effected by the Hillsborough tragedy or your not from the area. Or your ****ing 15 years of age and hasnt got a ******* clue.
It has not been blown out of proportion and to those of us who were personally effected by the tragedy it is a "Crime" to show such disrespect and lack of humility. And as far as Im concerned, he can shove his appology up his ****in arse. The only reason he is "Sorry" is becasue the camera caught him doing it.
Knobhead. That's my new book. 'Shut the **** Up, by Dr. Denis Leary'. Patients come in. 'Doctor I-' Shut the **** up! NEXT!! 'Doctor, I've got this-' SHUT THE **** UP!! NEXT! 'He made me feel so much better. He just told me to shut the **** up. Nobody ever told me that before!'

I agree with most of that. But I do think he is sorry and as I said earlier I put what he did down to him being a complete idiot. He acted like a child and he should have had more sense. Whilst it would be nice for eeveryone who came to the club to embrace all of its traditions it would be daft of us to expect that.Originally posted by murder_inc View PostIm assuming you either werent personally effected by the Hillsborough tragedy or your not from the area. Knobhead.
What we should all expect and demand is that for two hours of their life (or however long the service was) the players sit down and listen and show some respect. Nothing malicious intended by Itandje, but sheer stupidity.
Personally it's down to the families that were so insulted to decide whether or not they forgive him. Either way he was never gonna play for the club again anyway so on the grand scheme of things it makes no difference to his career at Anfield.
Think I'd refrain from walking round the streets if I was him though.Forwards.......
