Agreed, but we said that when we were 7 behind and having played a game more if i remember, it was 'probable' that we wouldn't get anywhere near them, but here we are breathing right down their sweaty neck.

But Craig, i think the point here for me is, that we ALL know as fans what's probable, what's likely, what will realistically happen, it doesn't stop us hoping or talking about what might happen, but you always seem to bring us back down to earth with a bang, often telling us what we already really know or fear, but are pushing to the back of our minds for now.

ps. and yes i do know...i often talk nothing but bull**** should the mood take me.i bet this bit gets highlighted or quoted plenty.

Depends what you call a few.

3 draws out of 7 isnt really that probable either.

I dont dispute what you're saying but it all has to be taken in context.

When we were so far behind, there was loads of games still to come, including one where we played them and had a direct impact on their ability to amass points. It's different now.

        I'm a soothsayer, what can i do?

Yeah, but i was talking about the notion of us drawing tomorrow night and why i think that would be the end of our title challenge.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

just read that Adebayor and Van Persie will be out of the game - added to the fact that gallas and almunia are already gone then we should have a great chance.....

i expect them to line up with maybe this:

                .....................FABIANSKI.................... ....

                SAGNA......TOURE.........SILVESTRE.....GIBBS

                ............FABREGAS........DIABY / SONG........

                WALCOTT...........ARSHAVIN...............NASRI

                .........................BENDTNER................. .....

                - it is still a team that can do us damage but you would have to say that with the home crowd electric (especially if kenny is in the crowd), the fact that we haven't played for a full week whereas they had a hard game vrs chelsea and also the fact that we are going for the title whereas they are secure in 4th, then we should really win!!!

                come on redmen!!!

Those three behind Bendtner are potentially lethal.

we should hammer these cunts 4-0.

I think we'll pinch one in the last five minutes.

                      2-1 Torres, Alonso

I agree with Craig though that United dropping more than 4 points is unlikely and less likely still if they have the boost of us loosing points too.
6-1 , Dwight Yorke hat-trick of the top of my head.

You're talking about them losing to Arsenal as if it's a foregone conclusion.

I personally think there's more chance of them dropping the points in their away games. Arsenal will either have a CL final to prepare for, or absolutely nothing to play for. Either way, i see no reason why Arsenal will go to Old Trafford with a great deal of desire or a full strength side.

People like Spurs, Boro, Hull and Wigan, who have things to play for, are a better bet IMO.
Going on that basis we have more to fear from our upcoming fixtures than tomorrows game. Due to that I disagree.

Win tomorrow and I will believe we can win everyone of our remaining fixtures. It really will be on. I remain convinced Man Utd will drop 4 points.

I think drawing tomorrow would be a nail in the coffin. Would give them a massive confidence boost that would be enough to take Man Utd over the finishing line.

If someone was to say we would win all our remaining games, bar a drwa with Spurs on the final day I would think we would still have a decent chance.
