The funniest pen I've ever seen was one Joe Kennedy took last year in the Youth Cup. He's built like a brick ****house and he ran full pelt and just absolutely ****ted it Think the goalie deliberately dived out the way of it

I remember that one, At the time I thought I was on the wrong TV Channel, I thought It was Freddie Flintoff running in at 100 mph ready to unleash a bouncer at An Aussie at lords.Fair play to the lad he absolutly ****ted it and Like you said the keeper was taking Evasive action.

I used to play with a great penalty taker. This penalty was in his armoury. He was left footed and he would run up to the ball from the left hand side as if to take the penalty with his right foot. Everything he did told the keeper is was going to the left hand side of the goal (keepers right). Just as he approached the ball he would swivel his body slightly and just roll the ball into the bottom right corner with his left foot. It was funny as **** to see the keeper throw himself the wrong way and the ball rolling into the net with just enough speed to cross the line.

Another penalty in the armoury was to run straight towards the ball hit it with the outside of his foot bending them away from the keeper.

We played in the same team Saturdays and Sundays. I cant recall him ever missing a penalty.

Le Tissier is the best I've seen. Murphy the best for us.

Never understood why Owen took them, you need a powerful shot to be a good penalty taker, and I can't remember him blasting many goals from outside the box (apart from one for England)

If you can place a ball in the corner, about half way up the goal then there is no saving it.

Mendieta was class to. He used to just roll it in and ALWAYS sent the keeper the wrong way. Used to wait for the keeper to commit and place it accordingly. You'd have thought keepers would have sussed this out but they never did.

That doesn't make sense. If it's halfway up the goal it's not in the corner.

Top left or top right at pace - impossible for a keeper to stop it.
