    Sammy Lee

Has had a great impact since returning; seems to work very well with Rafa and with Pelligrino; a definite help to the boss - credit where its due to Rafa in selecting the wee man; we're a much better club with the poison dwarf in the mix ..... good call all round.

Yep agreed, he seems to be the ying to Rafa's yang, and it creates a nice little balance.

All parties seem to work well together.

    He's scouse, he's sound
    He bounces on the ground
    Sammy Lee, Sammy Lee

(i'm not singing the original, it's dis-respek-ful, innit.)

Sammy Lee is a true red legend. One of our most underrated servants. I love him to bits.

Particularly when Rafa was away with his operation. Great addition to the club.

Thats right. Forget what any other other club is doing or saying, just concentrate on Liverpool FC.

Just watched his press conference on the BBC website and was compelled to post on here. Very dignified, calm and confident. By Rafa keeping quiet and allowing Sammy to make a statement, Liverpool have come out very much on top in this round of 'mind games'.

He seemed so much more assured yesterday than he was when managing Bolton.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                    very true.

I feel sorry for him about the way the Bolton thing went. Gartside put huge pressure on him and he was completely changing the team style. I do wonder whether he would have been able to pull off survival if he had stayed. I feel that given time, like Hodgson at Fulham, his ideas would have really improved a stale side. That said he didn't seem to be able to instill the solidity at the back that is needed in the PL and Megson has done a very creditable job with them since Sammy left. maybe in the end it worked out best for everyone.

Obviously I'm biased but I wouldn't tar him with the same brush as Brian Kidd or Bryan Robson after one stint.

He wanted to play a style of football at Bolton which was alien to them and I suppose he must be given credit for trying even though he could be criticised for unsettling a club set in its ways.

                      I'm glad he's back home.
