Lets not be too modest here.Originally posted by The Erectile Banana View PostThree of the goals were simple enough finishes for him. We laid them on a plate for him. The second goal was a cracker though.
For his 4th he ran the length of the park in the 89th minute to get on the end of Walcots pass.

Yes but he was in acres of space after we overcommitted looking for a winner.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostLets not be too modest here.

Once he received the ball he was always the favourite to score.A humble guy with healthy desire.

Not disputing the fact it was easy to score once he got the ball. In order to get the ball he ran 80 yards, any away from any covering player, in the 88th minute of the game.Originally posted by The Erectile Banana View PostYes but he was in acres of space after we overcommitted looking for a winner.

That was the hard part.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Agreed, but running 80 yards doesn't make him a great player, it merely means he has good fitness levels. **** it, maybe this is coming across as a bit begruding, you can't really argue when someone scores four goals but I just can't believe that they scored four goals. Did they even have any other shots on target besides their goals? Arshavin had a night where everything just fell for him. He did well to score four goals but there was a lot of luck involved.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostNot disputing the fact it was easy to score once he got the ball. Having the presence of mind to run the 80 yards makes him a very good player.Originally posted by The Erectile Banana View PostAgreed, but running 80 yards doesn't make him a great player, it merely means he has good fitness levels. **** it, maybe this is coming across as a bit begruding, you can't really argue when someone scores four goals but I just can't believe that they scored four goals. Scoring 4 goals with 4 shots at Anfield even against the Liverpool comedy defence troop makes him a very good player.

I guess we'd have taken that a few weeks ago, it's just the manner of the result tonight.Originally posted by BJC View PostI've calmed down now.. but that was hard to watch.
but the last 6 games: 5 wins and a draw with a top four team...
We need Man City and Arsenal to do united.
Not sure City will do them, but fingers crossedThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
