The thing is if rafa had shifted Keane sooner in Jan Arshavin would have been playing against arsenal tonight.

Oh dear. I don't think you could have give any answer that would justify it.

Agree 100%, they were ****e. I just can't believe that one of the worst teams at Anfield this season scored 4!!!!

Robbery, but then if we defend as bad as that we deserve everything we get.

At 2-1 I think we should've shut up shop not gone gung ho as we did.

            **** THAT.

Three seasons without a trophy. I'm devastated.

It seems a lifetime ago that I watched Stevie smash in that forty yard screamer against West Ham in the FA Cup final.

            Gutted, absolutely gutted.
At least we (i) can't blame Rafa for playing defensive anymore. And to be honest that's a step in the right direction if we are eventually going to win the league.

4-4 is ten times better in my opinion than 0-0.

Mascherano was uncharacteristically poor, he put the effort in, but made mistakes on the ball. Alonso kicked the ball out for that **** Fabregas who then thanked him by ****ing assaulting Alonso. Why did Alonso kick the ball out? The referee was appalling, as were the linesmen.

Got to give credit to Arsenal, whatever others have said - they played really well, kept possession and passed the ball around. Arshavin was fantastic.

I'm gutted, but we probably got what we deserved. Sloppy mistakes at the back. Benayoun, Torres and Kuyt were immense. If only the rest of the team had shown the same level of commitment as Benayoun.

glad we got a point, good mentality, AWFUL defending. pepe culpable for some, defence for all. stand by my point that i can't see man u losing 2 games in 6. arse could beat them, but it'll take another loss or 2 draws to win it now. just have to pray.

all the 'great entertainment; **** - rather win 0-0 after 180 in CL then penos, and 1-0 every game till end of may to win the league. 4-4 is only for a neutral, no matter how fondly i may look back on these games later

But still the same result, one point.

I find it devastating that we will likely finish as also rans after coming top of the "Big 4 league" and after coming back from the dead so many times.

                  It beggars belief.

Arsenal were ****, we gave them 3 goals, and as stupid as it might sound, the only thing Arshavin did was score 4 goals.

Unbelievable, are you serious? They were terrible, we mullered them, they hardly had a sniff and had probably 5 minutes at most of a decent spell.

                        Arshavin was class though.

Yes I'm serious. Arsenal were good on the ball, as I suppose we'd expect them to be. Their goalkeeper made some outstanding saves, unfortunately on this occasion ours didn't.

                            Pretty deflated right now.

However, let's not lose sight of what happened tonight. For 30 minutes we battered them and had about 10 shots to 0. Mascherano makes a catastrophic **** up and we go 0-1 down. From that point (as we need a win) we're chasing the game and open to the counter from, let's face it, a fantastic counter attacking team.

Even when we deservedly went 2-1 up we were vulnerable as we'd committeed to that attacking style and gone a little gung-ho.....it's hard to turn that mentality off and we could have realistically gone 3 or 4 -1 up. Another terrible defensive mistake and we're chasing the game again and so on.

Normally if we'd gone 0-1 down we wouldnt have chased it in such a gung ho way and been a little more patient. We certainly showed our anxiety tonight and the defensive errors were born from wanting to quickly turn attack into defence. The first three goals could have been avoided if the ball had been cleared into row Z.

However, we arent playing Arsenal every week and im pretty confident playing like that we'll pick up 15 points from the last five games. It just boils down to how many points Utd will drop.

You must have gooner glasses on or something, that was one of the most one sided draws I've ever witnessed and thats no exageration.

Good on the ball, when in particular? As I said, I can recall probably 5 minutes of decent football from them.

This was almost as criminal as the Spurs defeat.

I thought they were saves I would have expected Fabianski to make. Poor shot selection for our boys at times. His kicking was also woeful and him and Silvestre did not seem to know what each other was doing.

We should have murdered them, though in scoring 4 goals our attack probably did its job.
