    Mental Torture

Ever since we hammered the mancs a few weeks ago and got back into the title race i can honestly say i've gone through every possible emotion there is.
Last night typified this, 0-1 down and my world was collapsing, 2-1 up and i was having visions of Stevie G hoisting the prem league trophy at Anfield on the last day, then ****ing 4-4 and i swayed from thinking we're still in it to we've handed it to those manc wanks. Without a doubt the title race has consumed my thoughts completely recently, and it's driving me mad. God knows it must be worse for any of you lads that are Liverpool natives born and bred. Anyhow after the drama of last night and having time to think about our situation as regards the title race i genuinely feel we're still bang in there although it's out of our own hands. I think City and Arsenal will do them and we'll take it on gd. As for tonight....Come on pompey!!!

Yep it's been a rollercoaster. It's just nice that we're still involved in the race at the end of April when in recent years it's been like watching Paula Radcliffe at the Olympics.

Aside from wishful thinking, can anyone give a valid reason why City will just randomly 'do them' ?

        United's home record is P15 W13 D1 L1
        & City's away record is P 16 W1 D5 L10

What's this notion of City doing them actually based on?

Same here. I’ve just had my first kid (well, in January) and I thought I’d be able to deal with it better since he arrived. Perspective, and all that.

That was true for a while, but since we stuffed those Manc *******s and got ourselves back in it, it’s consuming me. My life actually feels as if it’s on hold until the season’s over. I couldn’t get to sleep last night, just thinking about different permutations and possible results. It’s ridiculous. It must be because we’ve not been in this position in my adult life (I was 13 when we won it last). I’ll be glad when it’s over to be honest.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Actually that's a lie. I say that every season, then come the first weekend of no football I complain of utter boredom.

normally i would just watch liverpool matches and cath the rest on MOTD or something. now i have to watch united and chelseas games too. its all i can think about and for the first time in a long time we have actully challenged, we may not get there but it is taking over my life. its also puting a serious strain on my relationship to be honest because "all i ever do is watch football"
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Tonight I’m going to try and ignore the United game. I don’t see the point in putting myself through it. We all know what’s gonna happen FFS. Why bother getting my hopes up?

I say this now……….come 8pm tonight I’ll be glued to my stream hurling abuse at the poxy ****s.

Don't do it. Spend your time cooing to your baby and getting large glasses of gin for your wife.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

It always happens. I promise myself not to watch the manc game, then 30 minutes before kick off I find myself checking the line ups and start to get anxious.

Then I struggle against the temptation until I give up and watch kick off thinking "Hmm... I'll just tune in until the cunts score and turn off the TV". But those cunts always give me hope by playing absolute ****, and I find myself turning into a Villa/Sunderland/Pompey fan, cheering them on, and just when I think "This is it! This is it!", their opposition roll over, they go and score some **** goal with a lucky deflection and make me miserable. I hate those *******s.
