But those cunts always give me hope by playing absolute ****, and I find myself turning into a Villa/Sunderland/Pompey fan, cheering them on, and just when I think "This is it! This is it!", their opposition roll over, they go and score some **** goal with a lucky deflection and make me miserable. I hate those *******s.

Know exactly how you feel. But since the Fulham game for us, I've been checking their Redcafe site to gauge reaction, and they are every bit as tense as us - which is amazing. Even with all their experience majority of their own fans still don't see the title as won. And while their fans on the terraces are thinking like that there'll always be a chance. Playing in a tense, nervy stadium is never easy.
      Forwards.......

I couldn’t get to sleep last night, just thinking about different permutations and possible results. It’s ridiculous. It must be because we’ve not been in this position in my adult life (I was 13 when we won it last). I’ll be glad when it’s over to be honest.
I know how you feel, im 30 now and it's been way too long.

Just cant stop thinking about it. Im sure when we have one it once we will all be a lot more relaxed for future title run-ins.

          & City's away record is P 16 W1 D5 L10

What's this notion of City doing them actually based on?
It's a derby match, and a couple of miles across the city is hardly travelling 'away'.

ManU dont like facing teams that carry an attacking threat, and City have that in abundance. On top of that they may be poor all season but the Manchester derby is one game the players & fans will raise their game.

p.s. they were the only team to do the double over ManU last season

It actually is mad. Footie's meant to be about enjoyment and yes, i love football, i enjoy it thoroughly. But when it's so close to home and means so much, it's not about football, the enjoyment comes from winning, nothing else. And when it doesnt happen, it does indeed hurt. A hundred-fold when you've actually got genuine hope, too. It's not healthy. But it's addiction and passion.

I'm just hoping City can have some genuine hope of getting back into europe next season. They want to win every game, but it hasnt happened for them away from home very often. I suppose to put a positive slant on it, they've managed to avoid defeat in 6 out of their 16 away games, so it's more than a third of the games that they've managed to get something from.

And they DO actually have decent enough players to make you hope.

Wishing for Robinho to find some away form at last.
