i think craig like so many wants rafa to succeed so it dont make him a cunt for thinking he wont
we were 5 points clear and blew the league this year - tha tis the main problem - if we had been behind and come with a rattle to finish 2nd then thats different
this is the season we blew the league the mancs didnt win it (artisitc license)

Which is a bit silly really. The order of our performances and results shouldn'y make a massive difference when we look back on the season. When you say we were 5 clear, was that with an equal number of games played?

Over the season we scored x goals and won y points. It's not like we were run-away favourates at any point. History will say we challenged and came a close second (assuming we do). Using when we got the points as a basis for deciding on somethig such as whether our manager is good enough would be pretty irrational imo.

To a mere pleb like me it reads that it’s fine to finish second, so long as we come from behind, but it’s a sackable offence to reach the summit before you finish second?
