    Why if not this year then very much next year.

    a) no matter what happens we've been in a title race. That is going to prove invaluable to this group of players. Look at our belief in the CL. We've won it and come close. We believe we can do it again.

    b) And this is what I feel is the key. We have the potential to improve far far more than Manchester United and Chelsea.

    Can anyone see any glaringly obvious weaknesses in Chelsea or United's first team / squad? Now look at ours. Practically half a striker all season and and at least 2 other positions that could be vastly improved.

    Get the recruiting right and keep the kid fit and I think we're going to be unstoppable next season.

    The biggest threat could well come from Arsenal. They have been hit really hard by injuries this year. Just don't sell them Xabi!!!

        How many times have we heard that Arsenal will be the team to watch?

        Man Utd and Chelsea will be the teams to watch, as usual.

              How many points had we after 33 games last season, anyone know?
              Would be interesting to compare.
              Either way there's no doubting we've come on leaps and bounds. Many people had Liverpool to finish 4th at the start of the season.

                    When it's been said before we have been well off the pace by March. Not the case this season we are very very close with what we already have. Improve further which there is still scope to do and I honestly think we can do it. And I think the players genuinely think they can do it too.

                    I don't see united and chelsea with such scope for improvement - they are pretty much at their peak already. This is the key for me.
