any possibility that our current defensive frailities are down to tiredness? the tempo that we play at, especially without the ball, must be seriously difficult to maintain in a league as fast as the premier.

If anything I would suggest our fitness is part of our strengths .. and one of the reasons we have scored more late goals than anyone elseOriginally posted by badpiggy View Postany possibility that our current defensive frailities are down to tiredness? the tempo that we play at, especially without the ball, must be seriously difficult to maintain in a league as fast as the premier.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. It seems quite possible that Carragher is suffering some form of mental tiredness. He has played a lot of games and we have been under pressure in a none of our current team has had before and he often seems to be thinking for the entire defense. It doesn't look like physical tiredness is a problem with our players at the minute.
I do however think that the 'they only do 2 hours training a day so they can't be tired' argument is a false one though. It isn't about being tired in the sense of short term exhaustion but the sort of longer term fatigue that prevents optimum performance."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I disagree, it was Arbeloa & Skrtel's fault. They fact the BOTH tried to stop the 1 Hull player left Carra to mark 2 players by himself. It wasn't necessary for them to both go & close the player down, 1 of them could have stayed with Carra to help out in the middle.Originally posted by Scratch View PostDoesn't excuse yesterdays goal tho, cos Insua was atfault for that one and he's not exactly played many games.
Or it could be argued that either Mascher or Alonso should have tracked back with Geovanni who is a midfielder, not a striker...Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Dunno mate. It looked to me as though Insua gave up running.President of the Ban Smileys Society

Ok, I would agree. But I also think the others are to blame too...Originally posted by Scratch View PostInsua was dawdling along behind Geo...he could see the man, it's not like he appeared from over his shoulder and took him by surprise or anything, and if you can see a player unmarked, you don't just stand around watching, you track him, get goal side...basic stuff. Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!
