This is one of those fixtures that Rafa usually throws a curve ball in term of formation and personnel, but with us needing to win I think that we go with our usual formation.

The only question will be whether Stevie G is fit or not. In this game tho, I don't really think that he needs to be risked especially with Benny in such good form. I can see us cruising this 3-0.

That said I think we will open them up and win comfortably. Benni will have a field day against that defence.
Man Utd didn't beat them at home. Does that mean they don't deserve to win the league?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Think this could go either way depending on when we score the first goal. I think this game will be alot tighter than many expect. Saw Spurs v Newcastle recently at White Hart Lane and they had their chances to get something.

If Liverpool turn up and turn it on we will obviously be too good for them. If on the other hand we turn up expecting to win, or a bit nervous, then it will not be so easy.

Newcastle are in the bottomw three because they have not been good enough, but Spurs and Boro beat us when they were in the drop zone, so we need to turn up.

It does look possible based on that team yes. He played the full 90 the other day and was running freely at the end so I dont think it's injury related. There are several other players in that team that played the full 90 the other day too, so I dont think its tiredness.

I hope he gets on for the last 20 minutes on Sunday and bags the 5th and 6th goals.

chance to improve our goal difference...at least 3:0 imo

torres riera and benny should rip their defence a new one

we don't need stevie back for this one, let him recover from the injury

Think I might watch the reserves rather than the CL game.

Nemeth was told he wasn't playing for the ressies as he would be training with the first team squad according to his blog. Sounds like a move to boost his confidence as he's been pretty low.

Of course they have to be taken seriously by the players but theres no way we wont win here.

It's a double-edged sword really, they're a good side to play cos they're ****e and they're an easier 3 points at home than most relegation fodder but on the other hand I'd love to see their fans' faces if they went down.

Can't see anything other than a first choice XI really. Benayoun in for Riera maybe and Agger ahead of Skrtel.

Benayoun deserves to start for sure, no? I would hope Agger would start against this kind of team as well.

Will be interesting to see if Nemeth and/or Spearing are on the bench after being left out of the reserves squad last night.

                          Is Gerrard 100%?

If not I'd be tempted to bench him and have Babel, Benayoun and Kuyt of Torres. Agger at the back and maybe even Lucas and Alonso in midfield.

Unlike others I think they have little choice but to bung three up front and pray. Their midfield has been woeful of late.

predict the mancs to slip up and we'll hit newcastle with a five star performace 5-0.

5/2 with skybet to win both halves

                              Unreal price.

Steven Taylor and Jose Enrique are both out so that opens the door for two players who are even more ****e to come in and not do a job.

I can see us hitting them for five again
