He could always shows us his medals that he won since he left Liverpool, that'd shut us all up.

He doesn't deserve to be booed, he was an important player for us. The way he left shouldn't cloud over what he did when he played for us. I guess he regrets it now anywayThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Its usually only a minority that start it and the dick eds that dont have a clue join in because they think its the done thing. Generally though id say the majority of our fans arent that sad or fickle (id like to think so anyway).Originally posted by Elvoz View Postyou clearly havent been to a liverpool newcastle game lately fella

He should get a good reception in my opinion, I don't blame him for going to Madrid, that money helped fund Garcia and even Nunez to a lesser extent played a part in no.5 (think it was his header that was saved before Mellor but the rebound in in the Youuuuuuuuuuuuu Beutyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy game)
I do blame him for chosing Newcastle over us but hey I'm sure he regrets it and we might not have ended up with Torres. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

You forgot pig heads:Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Postboo him. jeer the wee ****er off the pitch. throw mobile phones or any spare change you have at him.
nah, live and let live i say. he had to leave madrid and we couldn't afford him. not his fault. i wouldn't take him back now but you cant deny he was a great player for us. i'd probably quite happily cheer him when his name read out.

He'll get a good reception from me anyway when he runs out. He left us for "bigger" things and came away missing out. The dislike for his decision to leave has been voiced in previous visits back to Anfield and its time to appreciate the goals he scored for us and the trophies he helped us win.

Spot on. He needed to know how the fans felt about they way he left but nobody can argue with what he did for us.Originally posted by Marc. Thats me too, last year or before Owen would have been a great addition to our squad, now he genuinely looks like a beaten man, hell hes only 29 he should be at his peak now, but thats not the case and he looks like hes thinking about the golf course when he plays. Complete waste of a genuine world class talent.Originally posted by dww View PostA year ago I would have agreed but he just looks spent at the minute. Now I'd genuinely rather give Ngog/Nemeth a chance to prove themselves.

I dont really care about him enough to applaud or give him ****e. He went, I had no problem with him trying something new, im the same in my life but I did have a problem with his lies about the contract talks. But he left, its turned out to be a horrendous decision, we've won stuff, we've got a better striker now than he was so Im not really arsed about him either way.
I dont want him back either, he gets suggested every summer but even forgetting past circumstances he just looks completely shot, sooo slow, weak finishing, poor touch, I was baffled by Capello's decision to ignore him but im starting to see why.
