    **** me.

Can't really argue with that selection. Goes to show that we've had a hell of a lot of turkeys in the last fifteen years or so.

Kromkamp was a decent right back.

Well said. All those that helped us with the greatest ever comeback were forgiven for all previous sins.

Agreed, I remember reading he was far and away the best player we had on the training pitch, he would do things no one else could do, but he hardly ever performed to that level on match day.

If this thread was about the biggest failures to live up to their potential I would say Smicer, Heskey and Collymore. All three had the ability to be truely world class never got close to their full potential.

Does anyone remember the day Heskey scored 2 against Chelsea? He was completely unplayable, the problem is you could count on one hand the number of games he had like that.

Mad Erik had the best corner routine ever though.

And in '98 Sean Dundee's horrific appearence so terrified the Valencia players that they stood agast staring at him and allowed Berger to run through and drill one home, putting us through. That has to count for something.

Josemi is a fair ****ter RB than Kromkamp

My team would feature the usual suspects:

                      ------------Luzi--------------
                      Song----Babb----Kvarme----Troare
                      Nunez----Diao----Potter----Walters
                      -------Le Tallec----Diouf------

Would that team EVER score a goal?!

He scored our first ever premier league goal and our first ever premier league hat-trick but his middle name is Everton so maybe he should be in the worst ever 11

I just really didn't rate him as a player - one trick pony. Maybe I'm being harsh but I wanted to throw another name into the hat.

Did Sean Dundee ever play a competitive game for us? I'm sure he didn't.

As AnfieldAnfield said Kromkamp was a decent enough player. And I'm sure we've had worse players than Oyvind Leonhardsen.

I hated Djimi Traore but after the first half in Istanbul he had the game of his life and was immense. I therefore forgive him, and Smicer of course for that goal and the pen.

Erik Meijer was ****e, but if all our players had half his commitment we'd probaly have won the league at least once in the past nineteen years, so he gets a bye too.

I agree with others, **** thread.
                              Forwards.......

I seem to remember seeing him come on as a sub at Anfield, chasing after a through ball and promptly losing about ten yards to the centre back. At that point the whole crowd went "uh-oh." I thought it was a competitive match but my memory ain't so good, etc.

                                Meijer was a hero.
                                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
