My view is that off field personal stuff would have more of a bearing that boardroom stuff. Does also depend on the individual obviously.

As said, it all does seem to have an effect going on what the ex-players say in their books.

A player will always toe the party line and say it makes no difference, but it will effect some of them. Depends on the individual as you say.

I seen Woodgate and Bowyer mentioned, they didn't just carry on as normal, they improved their game and went up a level. owyer especially was fantastic that season.

because they didnt give a flying **** about the case, its rare you get players with such disregard for others as those 2 at that time.

Without getting involved in the politcis of it all I would say they improved because they were under the microscope and just upped their games.

I read somewhere they all knew Leeds were going broke and were all playing for the biggest contract they could get at the biggest team possible.

Trial finished in 2003. Bowyer had a chance to join Liverpool in 2002. Relegated in 2004.

Not sure the above statement could be proved correct, as Risdale kept it quiet for a long time.

I think we can definitely draw comparisons to Rafa's Valencia. I think Rafa's system is basically:

4-2-3-1 - check
zonal marking - check
balance between attack and defence - thats what we're striving for
possession based game - check
heavy pressing - check
squad rotation - check
collective responsibility rather than relying on individual brilliance - ok, we still need to improve here as well

At the end of the day, things are looking very bright for the future. It feels like we are on an upwards trajectory that shows no signs of stopping. We've got so much potential. The right signings in the Summer and it could kickstart a new era of dominance.
