    Banging on about goal difference.........

First off I will say it is unlikely we will finish level on points with Man Utd. But should we get lucky it could well come down to goal difference.

Our players still seem to have it in their heads that we need to smash in loads just in case, which would be nice. But we don't need to do that.

We are at present three goals better off. If we win our remaining three games by one goal we will be six goals better off.

The Mancs have four games left and we need them to drop six points. If they draw three games and win only one they will drop the required six points and need to win by six in one of their games to come above us. If they lose two they will then be eight goals behind us and need to score eight goals in two matches to be level.

In fact, that is likely to be seven in one or nine in two due to us having scored more, though they have the slightly better defence.

So as it stands I'm not too concerned by goal difference. If they drop six points we will win the league.
    Forwards.......

I dont think its a case of players intentionally staying forward as they are thinking about goal difference. I think thats just how were playing at the moment... Im not complaining.

I don't know, recent comments by players in the press have led me to think otherwise. And this goal hungry approach is what cost us three points against Arsenal.

Over the course of a season this will obviously benefit us. There will be times we will screw up and throw away points, but more often that not it will result in games being closed out and draws being turned into wins. Remaining undefeated in the league is over rated. I would happily have seen two of our draws turned to defeats if another two could have been changed to victories.

I thought poor defending and silly mistakes cost us the three points. Not because we were attacking. I see what you mean but i dont think the reason were conceding alot of goals is because were getting as many goals as we possibly can from a game.

Their goal to tie the game at 2-2 was as a result of all our players streaming forward and us getting caught on the break. This was also the cause of their fourth goal, but that is understandable. We were level and did need three points. I just thought that against Arsenal at 2-1 up we should have been more careful in which players we committed. I don't want to harp on about it, as you are right in saying there were also other factors in what is best described as a freak result when based on the run of play. But that draw probably cost us the title IMO. (obviusly 4 points dropped v Stoke didn't help = but I hope you see my point )
