As an attacking force next year i am sure they will give some teams some hammering but when it comes to playing the top teams i believe they will struggle and there confidence is very very fragile.
Not sure but he's got to stick to his beliefs. That's what Barca has always done, they were never the most successful team ever, but still played the best football and they gained legendary status for that.

At the end of the day, a team who holds possession as well will most of the time put most teams on the backfoot. Arsenal lacks that killer instinct. When Henry was at his prime, they were nearly unbeatable.

I have to agree with fredo here. I actually think Wenger has been sold out by the board at Arsenal in the last few years. Like us last year though despite doing worse in the league I think that the progress made is pretty clear. If he is allowed to retain the majority of the players there now and he rather than the players or the board determines who is sold I think they will challenge for one of the league or the CL next season. I don't think they have the squad or experience for both.

I see the problems they have more in terms of leadership and, in midfield, physicality than killer instinct.

        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Well if I said they were unbeatable, *they* would use that to beat me with a stick.

It's actually the only team (apart from Barca) which has the same footballing principles built in right through their whole youth levels. They play the game like it should be played.

Arsenal are the only team to have actually come close to ripping us a new arsehole in both our first team games this season, and their youth side has actually done just that. Rafa has the same vision I'm sure, but it will take at least 5 years to reap its dividends.

Arsenal's and Barca's blueprint are the ones to follow. **** the rest.
You having a laugh? We smmashed them at Anfield and out played them at the Emirates.

And as for their Youth team, we played a couple of school kids whilst they played players who have been regulars in the reserve team. Spot the difference.

Arsenal have some good Youth players, but they aren't streets ahead.
