Can't change it now, but if we bolster the squad/team with a few quality players in the summer then we can use the experience we've gained this season to achieve number 19 next season. I'm feeling numb, it's hard to take, but realistically it was going to be difficult to catch them once they got ahead. Too many draws and bad luck with Torres and Gerrard's injuries.
We worked hard and performed brilliantly towards the latter stages of the season, let's keep the momentum going into the next.

It's a bitter pill to swallow but the team did us proud this season. Fergy lost out to Leeds the year before he won his first title for united. It was a massive learning curve for him and that united team just like this year will be for us. We have a great team and a truly great manager and the best supporters in the world. It will hurt us all badly but we will return next season with a fire in our bellies. The lads finally believe they can win the title and I now have no doubt that next year will be #19.Dare we believe

i think some people may need to put things into perspective a little here.
1. if it wasnt for rafa benitez, we would be feeling far, far more depressed about this.
2. we were close, very close to winning it again. the champions had to get a result in the 2nd to last game of the season. thats light years ahead of where we've been since 1990.
3. did you really expect that they wouldnt equal our haul of 18 this time last year? honestly?
4. we are on the up, they arent. dont care what you say. his signings recently have been dodgy and if they do lose ronaldo and tevez (along with scholes and giggs) i'll be pissing myself watching them trying to compete with villa. seriously, who are they going to sign exactly?
5. if we push on with two or three signings of our own that work out (and make us more clinical) then we are the major threats next season and possibly a lot of people's favourites.
dont worry about it. man u, in fairness the the shower of w@nkers have achieved something over the last 15 years so whilst they're rivals, there's no arguing that they deserve their moment of glory. at least we're back at the top. all we can ask for is a real chance of winning the title. rafa benitez has given that to us again.

Tbf though, of course if you dont win it that season your going to say 'next season'. I agree to a point ive heard people say it when ive serously thought we were no were near being able to challenge for the title the season after. However this season is a different story and the scum and their red faced alcoholic of a manager know it.Originally posted by redpablo View Postno more ****ing NEXT YEAR bollocks please. lets just go do it. we're close and they have ridden their luck something shocking, but i wanna puke today and have had non stop bull**** from the c**ts. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...em/8053713.stmManchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson barely savoured winning his 11th Premier League title before targeting a fourth consecutive triumph.
The 0-0 draw with Arsenal gave United their 18th league crown, and equalled the record of rivals Liverpool, but the Scot is already hungry for more glory.
"The great challenge now is to try to win it next year because that would be something special," he said.
"A 19th league title would give us a special place in the club's history."
Ferguson added: "I am already thinking about next year. You have to do it here. There is nothing else for it. You just drive on.
"I do take a lot of pride from equalling Liverpool. When I came down here they were the top guns. My job was to try to change that.
Fair play to Ferguson. I can’t believe what he’s achieved at Utd. To him, winning is everything.
What a cunt.Another MASSIVE game

Sickening.
17 years ago it was 18 League titles to what - seven League titles?
United winning the League next year to overtake us would be even more sickening.
I just so do hope that we don't have a revolving door in the summer. Ship out just four or five of the deadwood and bring in one or two match-winners. Oh heck it's gonna be tense next year.
I just hope we can do it - to do the double over both United and Chelsea this season (and to get two draws from the Arsenal matches) was a tough, tough job, which in most seasons would've won us the League. We've scored the most amount of goals, played the best football, had a good defensive record and only lost two League games this season. That is title-winning form most years.
I still feel that we deserved to win it more - regardless of what is said.
