    Who Remembers?

The soccer 6 thing that used to involve the first division teams played indoors in Manchester?

I think Hooper used to play in goal for us. Going back to the eighties hence the 'first division'. Molby played but we were one of the only teams not to involve most of the first teamers if my failing memory serves me right. I remember Utd with Jasper Olsen doing well and Forest with Glover up front. Weird this came to me at 4.35 this morning!

So I assume this is a figment of my over active imagination?

I'm sure their was a 6 a side competition that ran for a couple of seasons.

I remember it alright. Think Ron Atkinson prioritized it above all other competitions back in the day.

I remember it, it was running only a few years ago. Wasn't it called the Masters?

Our former players usually did quite well in it I seem to remember

Seems we won it in 2001 and 2002

no no no, not the masters. The competition I'm talking about was on in the 1980's and wasn't for past players. I can't remember at what time of the year it took place. I know it was mid week and Charlton of all teams used to be decent with Leroy something or other up front, a big guy who rarely ever scored in 11 aside.

Definitely existed as I went and watched it there at G-Mex in Manchester. Kind of remember it being our reserve team, but do remember a young Stuart Pearce playing for Notts Forest and slamming everyone into the barriers. Would have been about 1988/89.
