      Kuyt

12 goals & 9 assists in the league, 8th and 7th in the overall league top goals/assists tables respectively.

Anyone know where to get his full stats for every comp?

In any case, that's actually a bloody good return, for context Gerrard got 16 & 10.

And probably better than the randomly mentioned Kewell above managed in his entire Anfield career.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
      Mine angry and defrauded young?

Good record, he's come on leaps and bounds this year, he definitely deserves all the plaudits. I criticised him big time last year but this year he definitely deserves his place on the team, he's stronger than most full backs he comes up against and to add he knows were to cross a ball as he is a striker and probably the reason he has a lot of assists.

          Go on Dirk!

so in 48 starts he has either scored or created 26 goals, that is a fantastic return, as Rafa might say. Dirk you legend.
I like to lurk, if that's ok with you

Sorry. You can quote all the stats you like, we can do a hell of a lot better than Kuyt. People on this site have himdown as this "irreplaceable" player that Rafa won't sell at any price but the truth is is that if he was for sale none of our peers would take him. Apologies again, I just don't see what others see.

with all due respect 15 goals and 9 assists from a wide midfield player is fantastic. If only we had the same sort of impact from the left we would be no doubt champions of england and europe.

he has his limitations but the stats dont lie - he is very effective when it comes to getting results.

Dirk has done really well and has been a candidate for our player of the season with gerrard and alonso.

Any decent player, which is what Kuyt is, picked week-in week-out for the 2nd best (best?) side in the country should return similar stats to Kuyt. It is just that in my opinion that his overall game isn't great and can be improved upon. We wouldn't get our money back would we? The fact that stats have to be used constantly to support his case say's it all for me. I think he survives because he fits into Rafa's style/ philosophy and basically does exactly what he's told. Like I said in my earlier post I don't think any of the other top dozen or so sides in Europe would give him the time of day. Sorry all, that's just what I think.

                            Is this official?
If so, good. If only for the reason that any new creative player we may now get in - Silva, Tevez or whatever won't have the cursed number forced upon them.

its only becuase he has to be defended because he isnt your flairy type player......i am sure you were one of those shouting for Malouda, Quaresma, simao etc. Personally for what he does in our team i think he does a fantastic job.

I do think we need more options out on the right with more of a creative from time to time but i dont think i could name a wide player who has scored more goals or even close? in fact name me the last wide player to get into double figures in the premiership part from ronaldo ????

think you will have to go back at least 3 seasons........

that to me underlines what a fantastic job he is doing.
