This is just speculation, nothing else. Tom and George knew full well of their losses before giving Rafa his budget so I don't think that is affecting his transfer plans seriously. I do think that he is trying to ship out Dossena and Babel before going for his big targets. And maybe something is going on already, for all we know Rafa is talking to Tevez as we speak.

Just goes to show the press know no more about this than we do one paper reporting we're skint another reporting we have more money to spend that anyone except chelseaThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

the press love a story and what better story than our downfall. all they need is a whiff of potential issues and the bullshi merchants can make it up from there.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostJust goes to show the press know no more about this than we do one paper reporting we're skint another reporting we have more money to spend that anyone except chelsea_____________________________________

The press all have different agendas and different sources. Regarding these two stories, the one that says we are skint is from financial experts opinions who have looked at teh figures. The one that says we'll spend big is from someone close to the Yanks.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostJust goes to show the press know no more about this than we do one paper reporting we're skint another reporting we have more money to spend that anyone except chelsea
The problem is it is very hard to tell what exactly is happening. We know the owners are looking for investors to buy a % of the club as opposed to out right control. They're struggling at present so it's in the best interests of potential buyers to turn up the heat on the Yanks and get the media to release negative spin on LFC. Of course on the flip side, it's in the Yanks best interest to act bullish and state all is well.
Whilst we will not be doing a Man City, I'm very sure we will spend decent size sums this summer and I'm just as sure that this club will be sold in the near future (within a year).Forwards.......

I can remember near mass internet suicide in the offing when it appeared we were in the market for Forlan or Bent but then we ended up with Torres.
As has been pointed out,we get these stories every year and they have been proved incorrect every year. Why don't we all chill out and see what the summer brings first

Perhaps the possibility of mass suicide is the plan - sort out the waiting list for season tickets, etc.Originally posted by PoolG View PostI can remember near mass internet suicide in the offing when it appeared we were in the market for Forlan or Bent but then we ended up with Torres.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
