I would have to say mascher - I really think he is the easier to replace, albeit a player at his level is hard to find. A good defensive midfielder is much easier and cheaper than getting a playmaker at the level alonso plays.

Playmakers with his passing abilities are few between, and he is essential for the way we play right now.

Tough one. Mascherano. I think Rafa has a knack of finding good defensive players so I would trust him to replace Mascherano. Xabi on the otherhand.

mash is younger and he does his role better than anyone. xabi is pure class and love the guy but we'd do better if he did his job higher up the pitch imo. so if forced and i mean forced sell xabi

I'd sadly have to go for Alonso because of the difference in age, I think Mascherano is much younger. If Mascherano did go I'd move to bring back Momo

They are both world class, so if they did not want to leave only a club in real trouble financially or with crazy transfer ethics would sell.

The money raised with the sale of either one would mean we can replace them with err, the same quality? So why sell?
They are both Prem experienced now and know the LFC way.
