David Ngog on live now on Eurosport in the final of the toulon tournament, he's playing up front for france as the lone striker, holding up and laying off the ball pretty well, looks great at this level.

Looking forward to seeing how he’s developed next year. Had my doubts early last season when watching a reserve game, but starting to think he could turn out to be a useful player for us.

At the minute I don’t see too much difference between him and the highly rated Sturridge. They are a similar age, stature and both quite pacey. They also have decent records at youth International level and even in the Premiership they have both shown flashes of brilliance even when they’ve looked out of their depth.

Edit: I do think Sturridge is overrated though.

When Ngog started with us he was getting pushed off the ball too easily. Midway through he learned to cope with it by realising he's actually quite big himself and in my mind became a better option up front than Babel.

he had a good first half tonight, showed some nice touches and held the ball up, taken off in the second half, didnt really have too many clear cut chances but the lad does have potential. I think it would be great if he could go on loan to one of the promoted sides this year and hopefully get a few games but whether that will happen who knows.

if wenger bought n'gog we'd all be wondering how come rafa never buys some like him, and what an eye wenger has for young prospects. i think the lad's got a lot of potencial, but needs a season or two of regular football. championship or lower PL teams would be ok imo.

i think that lad has a future in the game actually, maybe not at the highest level but i take your point.

Wenger has been developing great young teams in the coca cola cup for years how dare you question him !!.... but thats a different topic altogether

looks skillful, a good athelete but to me he looks like hasn't quite sussed how to kick a ball properley. Which is an issue for a footballer.
