Surely, Early kick-offs are an issue?

The league should be made as "fair" as possible, so each team should have to suffer the same amount of early kick-off times.

By all means if we don't want fair, why don't we let Chelsea play 75% of their league games at home....

We have had a difficult start to the season, no doubt. However I am a bit worried by some of our weakness against Sheff U, Neverton and Bolton, I do hope that a repeat of our '04- '05 away form is not on the cards

You can't compare accurately with last season, as there are stronger teams this year. And as for the 100% business, of course they wont be 100%, the physios will get them as close to 100% as they can, but it's not always possible with only 2 and a half days between games on occassion.

Just because you are a professional doesn't mean that you wont be affected by when you play a game of football.

My point was, surely in the interests of the sport, the rules, fixtures and other off the field aspects should be held to be as fair as possible, to ensure no team has an undue advantage.

Now there is a credible argument to be had, that if Chelsea were to play 2 games in 38 at the early kick off, while Liverpool were told to play 15 games at the early kick off, this is not "fair." The fair decision would be to ensure that all teams play an equal number of early, normal, and late kick offs - that way you are ensuringly a fair playing field.

i did a whole thread about this not long ago, you also have to take into account if the team has a midweek game, particularly on a Wednesday, then the early kickoff on a Saturday is just plain wrong.

Couldn't agree more. Setting aside the argument about how the players react to it (and I'm sure it does give an extra advantage to the home team), its **** for the fans as early kick off's never seem to have much atmosphere, and are generally pretty dire games too. As you say Morph, its just plain wrong.
