    Wages

now that glen johnson has signed on what seems like a 100k a week , i wonder how its gonna effect the others. alonso i remember reading somewhere is presumably on 68k, mascherano about 50k although some reports say he is on a ridiculous 30k.gerrard and torres btw 100-120k?carra? owning the club is one thing...sustaining it with quality players is another.

    Johnson on 100k a week
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Surely he's not on 100k a week even 80k would be steep

I'm always confused by how confidently people can state players wages. FWIW I would suggest that Mascher should be in the top 5 or so earners at the club but I have no idea how much that would be.

Unless someone on here works at the payroll of Liverpool FC or knows the players personally (even then ,how many people share their personal salary info with friends?!!) it is pure speculation.

Mascher should be in the top tier of earners alongside Pepe, Carra and Alonso, but just below teh level of Nando and Stevie.

              If Glen Johnson is on 100k a week, I'm on a 100k a day

I think we're in safe hands if Rafa is in charge of wages. He seems to have a clear idea of what a player is worth and won't budge on it. In terms of wage structure we're all guessing but it looks to me as if we're somewhere between an Arsenal and Man Utd i.e sensible but not too stingy

I wouldn't imagine Johnson's wage will rock the boat too much

These guys are stars and professional athletes the get contracts which are worth a sum of money, not a 37.5 hour week wage

You have to pay the going rate ... for Englands first choice Right Back, the Players Choice Right Back of the Year and the Holder of Goal of the Season .. I would say its just about right

I read that Gerrard, torres 100+ per week

                            Carra 90k

                            then a group on 50k
Mascher, Alonso, Pepe, Riera and Dirky

the rest on 25-30k per week.
