He is an odd player though. In his first season he was a consistently good attacking performer against most teams but the start of this season his performances were wildly variable. Half way through though he just seemed to click and was excellent whenever called upon and made important contributions against pretty much any calibre of opposition.

spot on. he was very iffy at first but one of the most valued squad members come the end of the season
