Sports Recruitment International is currently recruiting a Head of Ticketing for one of the most famous sporting brands in the world.
Liverpool Football Club is the most successful English football team and has won 5 European Cups and 18 League Championships in its 117 year history.
The Head of Ticketing is a key position within any football club. Managing one of the clubs most valuable revenue streams and controlling the most sought after product for fans of the club worldwide.
Currently the ticketing operation has approx 35 staff working in shifts, the ticket office operation is based at the clubs home stadium and opens at varied times across a 7 day period dependant on match frequency and ticket selling arrangements.
Typically the club sells over 1,000,000 places at games per year and operates a variety of ticketing schemes including season ticket sales, membership sales and general ticketing. The club has a long standing season ticket base and a good knowledgebase and database of its audience.
The Responsibilities of the role
* Liaising with Football Clubs, TEAM Marketing, The FA and Football League to arrange all ticketing requirements including possible finals.
* Managing around 35 members of staff and looking after shift patterns and overtime authorisation as well as staff training
* Match selling information
* Authorisation of all invoices
* Deal with customer complaints and all correspondence to supporters
* Managing the distribution of complimentary tickets and senior management and players’ ticket requests
* Preparing department budget
* Season Ticket renewals
* Computer requirements
Experience
* Minimum of 10 years experience in the ticketing and event industry
* Should have experience of managing a high volume ticketing operation
* Experience in the use of recognised ticketing systems (experience of the Software 4 Sport “Talent” system would be a distinct advantage)
* Must be able to demonstrate experience of managing a large team in a fast paced environment
* Must be articulate and presentable and able to participate in management discussions and debate.
* Must be able to demonstrate experience of developing and managing departmental accounts, budgets and business planning.
